Mon: Longwa

The main attraction is the Mon village, and its Konyak tribe, better known as the Headhunters, who fought, during the ancient days, with their enemy bravely and cut their heads from the bodies.  The King’s House stands for years on the international boundary of Myanmar and India. The border in fact passes through its corridor.

Having a cup of tea with the present king (Angh) and listening to their brave war stories thrills everyone.

District town of Mon is easily accessible from Sonari, Assam  and is nearly 2:30 hrs journey.
